Mustafa Acar | Board Chairman
After graduating from the Eastern Mediterranean University Civil Engineering Department in 2002, Acar developed construction projects including housing, office, shopping mall projects, etc. In 2008, he decided to invest in Renewable Energy along with continued construction investments.
Acar founded SDS Geothermal Energy Inc. and developed investments in geothermal energy. He opened SDS Energy to global investors and acquired multinational partners, followed by Geothermal Energy Field licenses in Aydın region. SDS Energy has currently an ongoing investment in a 120 MW geothermal power plant.
Acar officiated as executive board member and project manager in several housing, business center, and shopping mall construction projects totaling 200.000 m2, with an aggregate value of USD 250 million. In 2015, he founded ARF Renewable Energy Inc., which built a 5.7 MW solar power plant in 2016. The power plant commenced production in May 2016. Acar founded ARD BIO Renewable Energy Inc. in 2016, which has an ongoing investment in a 4.8 MW Biogas Plant. Acar is a co-founder of SDS Energy, ARF Energy, and ARF BIO.
Melih Arslan | Deputy Board Chairman
Born in Istanbul in 1962, Melih Arslan graduated from Yildiz Technical University, Department of Electrical Engineering, and got his master’s degree in business administration. After working as a lecturer at Trakya University, Faculty of Architecture, Arslan moved into the private sector, and has been running his own company ever since, with his business line focused primarily on real estate development, construction, construction and project management, and management of foreign investment funds' investments in Turkey.
Arslan is a board member of several companies (AB Real Estate Inc., Nai Treas Inc., Aby Design Inc., HAB Project Management Inc.) and executive board chairman of ARF BIO.
Işıl Gültekin Avcı | Board Member
Işıl Gültekin Avcı, managing partner and principal consultant at ACE Consulting & Architecture Inc., graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Environmental Engineering. She has a master's degree and doctorate in Environmental Technology, both obtained from Boğaziçi University. Avcı worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Environmental Science at Boğaziçi University until 2009. From 2004 to 2005, she was a Visiting Research Fellow at Saarland University, Department of Environmentally Compatible Process Technology. Between 2008 and 2016, Avcı worked as a Principal Consultant at ELC Group Engineering & Consulting Inc. - Royal HaskoningDHV, where she also officiated as a Practice Leader for Environmental & Social Impact Assessment and Environmental & Social Due Diligence. In addition to her ongoing position at ACE Consulting & Engineering Inc., Avcı provides independent consultancy services on Environmental and Sustainability Management.
Dr. M. Emre Çamlıbel | Co-founder and Chairman of the Board
Dr. M. Emre Çamlıbel, who graduated from Yıldız Technical University, completed his master`s degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston, USA. PhD in Civil Engineering Department of Boğaziçi University; on energy efficiency and saving, energy systems, sustainability, carbon trading, financing and applications. He started his career in 1992 at STFA as a civil engineer. He then worked as project engineer and manager at Kennedy & Rossi and Walsh Brothers companies in Boston, USA. Since 1998, he has worked as Assistant General Manager in Soyak Construction and then as Project Development Coordinator in Soyak Holding. He served as the General Manager and Member of the Board of Directors at Soyak Yapı between 2001-2008 and as the CEO of Soyak Holding until 2016.
Having 30 years of national and international experience in project management and business development, especially in the real estate sector, Çamlıbel became a member of Torunlar GYO and GTC Board of Directors in 2020. In addition, he continues to be a board member of many companies in Turkey and abroad. Çamlıbel, who continues his academic studies, is a part-time lecturer at Boğaziçi University. He also lectures in the fields of energy and real estate as a guest lecturer at MIT and Columbia in the USA and as a lecturer at VGTU in Lithuania. Çamlıbel has many published international articles and book chapters.
Caner Bingöl | Co-founder and Board Member
Founding Partner and Board Member of Re-Pie Asset Management Company, Caner Bingöl, graduated from Yıldız Technical University in the Department of Architecture, completed his double major in the Department of Urban Planning at the same faculty. After graduation; he established Ensar Construction, Architecture, Planning, Real Estate and Consulting Limited Company. In addition to planning and architectural project studies, it also took part in the sector with construction and real estate development projects. Bingöl has managed 310,000 m2 commercial real estate, 600,000 m2 residential and 6 million m2 land development projects in the real estate sector so far.
He has worked on many metropolitan planning and has developed interdisciplinary projects with housing companies which are the members of KONUTDER and GYODER. Caner Bingöl also provided consultancy support to public institutions for investment projects. He is an investor and advisory board member of Udrive in the United Arab Emirates, Bringoo in Germany, GTC Solar and Turknet İletişim Inc.
